The FDA is urging consumers to stop using Magic Slim: a weight loss product found in retail stores and online. Sibutramine, one of the ingredients in Magic Slim, was removed in October 2010 by the FDA because it’s proven to drastically increase blood pressure, leading to dangerous health scenarios. In addition, another ingredient found in Magic Slim, phenolphthalein, is “not generally recognized as safe and effective” and may cause cancer according to the FDA.
