Pleural mesothelioma is a disease affecting the lungs which is most often associated with exposure to asbestos, and those working in construction, insulation, and mining have often been susceptible to it. Mesothelioma is a form of cancer, and there is no known cure for it, although treatment is available in some cases. Thus, people who have mesothelioma can take steps to alleviate the symptoms and to fight the disease, but, sadly, if it is not treated early enough, the victim will generally succumb to the disease at some point. Answering the question of what life expectancy a person diagnosed with mesothelioma might have depends on what stage the disease is at when the person is diagnosed.

A 29-year old driver was killed in Wentzville, just outside of St. Louis, earlier this month when a semi-truck driver made a careless and deadly mistake, apparently in order to save time. The lethal accident is a reminder of how the trucking industry’s attempts to meet deadlines and save costs can often result in severe and irreversible consequences for innocent bystanders.

While most of us don’t have dashboard cameras - “dash cams” for short - in our cars, we’ve certainly all seen dash cam footage on the news. We often see dash cams used in law enforcement situations, where dash cams are used by police departments to gather evidence regarding roadside stops and monitor officer conduct.
